Besan ko laddu is made in Nepal especially during festivals. Some sisters even give besan ko laddu while vaccinating their brother. Especially besan ko laddu is made not only on the day of Bhaitika(festival) but also throughout the festival and is eaten as sweets. Besan ko laddu can be made at home very easily. If you want to make besan ko laddu easily at home, follow the method given below.

For making besan ke laddu recipe you need some ingredients as below:


 S.N   Ingredients/Quantity

1)        Besan (2 cups) 

2)        Raisins (Golden raisins 20 piece or 10gm) 

3)        Cashew (cashew 10 pieces or 15 gm) 

4)        Sugar powder (3/4 cup or 105gm)

5)       Cardamom powder (1 teaspoon) 

6)        Ghee / butter (1/2 cup or 130 gram)


Note: You can also use the quantity of ingredients and ingredients according to your own.

Cooking method of besan ladoo

Now take a pan and heat it (flame should be low or medium). Put besan in a hot pan and fry it (without oil). Don't burn besan. Fry the besan while stirring. After frying besan, its color changes slightly. After frying besan, add ghee / butter.


 When ghee / butter is added, its color looks like golden brown. After adding ghee / butter, stir fry it till it becomes very soft texture. When fried for 5 minutes with ghee / butter, it becomes golden brown in color and it comes in a very soft form. If it is soft then it is made very well. Now turn off the flame. Then add sugar powder, cashew nuts, raisins and mix it well. After that add sweetmeal powder and mix it well again for a while.


 After mixing all this well, let it cool in a plate or bowl (do not freeze too much). Then apply a little ghee / butter on your hands and make a small laddu or dough of the size you need. Make small laddu or dough or sweets like this and put them on a plate.


Then place 1 piece of cashew nuts on top of this laddu or dough. Press and hold a piece of cashew nut. After doing so, your besan laddu is ready. You can eat it or store it in the freezer or refrigerator.
